Airports
Airports closest to Koper are in Ljubljana [SI](www.fraport-slovenija.si), Trieste [IT] (triesteairport.it), or Venice [IT] (www.veniceairport.it).
There is also a possibility of a direct bus line from all of the above mentioned airports to Koper (getbybus.com).
NOTE: Prices can differ and can be somewhat high, also depending on the date of the purchase.
Larger hotels organise transport from the airport to the hotel for their guests.
If you plan to organize your own transport from the airport (using public transport), here are some further information.
Ljubljana Airport (SI) – there are numerous ways how to get from the airport (and vice versa) to the city of Ljubljana (https://www.fraport-slovenija.si/en/passengers-and-visitors/getting-here/), where you can use public transportation (bus/train) to Koper.
Trieste Airport (IT) – there is available public transportation via bus (https://triesteairport.it/en/autobus/) or train (
Venice Airport (IT) - there is available direct transportation via bus to Koper (shuttle GoOpti/Flixbus; depending on a date) (https://www.veniceairport.it/en/transport/bus.html) or you can take bus/train (https://www.veniceairport.it/en/transport/bus.html / https://www.veniceairport.it/en/transport/train.html) from the airport to Venezia Mestre from where you can take further public transportation to Trieste/Koper.
Bus
There is a bus station in Koper, connected with Ljubljana (https://www.ap-ljubljana.si/en/) and Trieste (https://www.autostazionetrieste.it/en-us).
Train
There is a train station in Koper, connected with Ljubljana (https://www.slo-zeleznice.si/en/).
Car
Via Ljubljana:
Take the A1 motorway, direction Ljubljana-Koper; at the end of the motorway in Koper follow the signs for exit Koper-Center
Via Trieste:
On the motorway Venice-Trieste follow the signs for Slovenia on the bypass (former border crossing Rabuese/Škofije), then in direction of Koper-Capodistria.

Accommodation
Koper and the nearby Izola, Piran and Portorož are tourist centres on the Slovenian coast with numerous and varied accommodation capabilities. We suggest you secure a hotel room or other accommodation in Koper (Hotel Koper, Hotel Vodišek, Hotel Žusterna) or in the San Simon Resort in Izola.
The website www.booking.com offers hotel reservations but also other types of accommodation like B&B, private apartments, hostels etc. (e.g. Hostel Museum which is in direct vicinity of the Faculty of Humanities).
Participants are responsible for securing their own accommodation.
