Aims And Principles
The Association pursues the following aims and principles:
Aims
- To encourage international cooperation among the young archaeologist, art historians and related scholars to Mediterranean Archaeology.
- To organize the Symposium on Mediterranean Archaeology every year at different institution
- To submit scientific studies at national and international organizations.
- To encourage the exchange of knowledge, information and experience among the members.
- To develop a coordinate approach among to scientists on Mediterranean Archaeology.
- Universities, museums, research centers, other institutions and authorities.
- The strengthen the international position of all activity field.
- The enhance the reputation of underwater archaeology scientific studies.
- To consolidate the friendship and communication of all people who related to Mediterranean Archaeology.
- To support and promote the studies about cultural inheritance and Mediterranean Archaeology
- To promote universal ethics an disciplines.
- To form a link between individuals and instructions from different countries for the aims of GAMA
- To obtain new collaborations for Mediterranean Archaeology.
- To contribute to the international development of academic classic archeaology, prehistory, protohistory, art history, archeaometric, history, underwater archaeolgy, archaeobotanic and other scholars who related to aims of GAMA.
Principles
- Regional, religious and racial subjects are out of GAMA's area of interest.
- Political subjects, political approachs, political influences are not included in GAMA's coverage.
- The members are under the jurisdiction of their own national law.
- GAMA's principle approach is the respect to the cultural and natural heritage of the world.
- All the members have the right equally (to) work on the field of Mediterranean Archaeology according to local regulations. Hierarchy is not accepted within the GAMA structure.
